Checklist - Leaving Campsite>

Empty trash (from truck too)
Wash glasses and sunglasses
Heat water to check LP level
Start computer, install full battery, display route map, suspend, move to truck, plug and start GPS
close windows, secure venetian blinds (all up), tie back bedroom curtains
select CDs for trip, place in truck
pack lunch (3 lap towels, drink, garbage bag, lunch, cups, ice water)
move coffee thermos and lunch/snacks to truck
stow loose gear (hanging fruit basket, Dave's computer, catalytic heater,
install CD retainers, fold desk
close all doors and cabinets - verify each latch
switch frig to LP or DC LP if cloudy or battery is low
turn off oven and stove pilots
turn off electric water heater
close roof vents
Tip desk chair on its back
Lower TV antenna
turn off furnace
verify all lights are off (check ammeter) < .3 amps
put maps in truck
put computer CDROM case in truck
after dumping, flush black water tank, add water and chemical, relatch cabinet door.
turn off circuit breakers; verify inverter off
Check battery charge level full = 0 amp hours
outside
Lower and secure solar panels
Dump black, then grey, water
close black and grey valves
Disconnect drain hose, replace sewer cover, replace drain cover
Rinse drain hose, replace in holder
Fill water tank if next site lacks water, otherwise partial fill
Disconnect water line, connect hose ends together, stow hose and regulator in BC
Disconnect electrical, Phone, TV hookups, store cable and adapters; Don't forget adapters!
Turn off hot water heater pilot
Check LP level when hot water is ready
disconnect extension hose for gas grill
Stow chairs, tables, gas grill, etc.
Stow awning double check awning clips and knobs
arms fully latched; clip on both arms, tension arm latch and clips, 3 black knobs tight
Check tire pressure, inspect tires 50 psi trailer and truck front, 65 psi truck rear
Check engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, washer fluid
Install wide mirrors, check adjustment
Clean mirrors, headlamps, windshield, rear window
Raise stabilizer jacks, stow jack handle (rear compartment)
retract rear steps
Lower front window guard
Unlock wheel chock and hitch ball
Climb ladder- look at roof; vents closed? Loose gear? Antenna lowered?
Check trucktop items - all ropes tight? paddles secure?
CB anttenna installed?
Route maps ready?
Computer in truck, full battery, plugged in, GPS ready,
Put on gloves, set out hitch and load arms
install hitch ball on truck
lube ball, arm sockets, cams
Ready to hitch and leave
Record odometer reading, date, location
Verify CB operation with handheld choose ch. 14 or 30
Start Truck
move truck under trailer hitch; lower trailer onto ball
Latch and Lock hitch;
Raise trailer to verify connection
While raised, install load arms, stow handle 4 links under tension, 5 hanging
retract jack all the way
connect safety chains;
connect breakaway lanyard verify lanyard routing - next to ball
connect power cable
connect aux. battery cables, stow four covers in blue box
Check: hitch pin and clip; 2 load bar clips; hitch locked
Check charging level in trailer 15 amps if battery low?
Remove wheel chocks, stow in BC;
Move trailer, stow leveling pads in BC and jack pad in truck
Lock all external hatches
Check trailer and truck lights turn, brake, back, running
Final
Wash hands
Stow sink cover and soap
Turn off water pump
Verify refrigerator (choose DC or LP) LP if cloudy or if battery low
Lock main door and raise steps, stow door mat
Walk around entire rig
Inspect entire campsite (trash, forgotten items) inspect after moving onto road if practical
Leaving Campground
At office: Turn in gate pass, pay bill, check for mail and messages, leave mail, dump trash
Phone for reservations for tonight?
Check trailer brake operation
Monthly & before long drive
Check trailer tire lugs (and truck?)
crawl under trailer - inspect inside tire walls
check spare tire bolts
